Schools In
We have done all our training through various RYA schools either in the United Kingdom or in Australia. The courses we've done to date are:

-

-
Day Skipper - course for aspiring skippers with some yachting experience and basic navigation and sailing skills.
-
Marine Radio - learn how to operate marine VHF radio equipment. This includes both fixed and handheld equipment with and without Digital Selective Calling (DSC).
-
Sea Survival - learn how to use the safety equipment on a boat and how to help yourself in an emergency at sea.
-
Marine First Aid - provides a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support skippers.
-
Radar - understanding how to use Radar as a navigational aid and for collision avoidance.
-
Diesel Engine - learn how your engine works, how to keep it healthy by using basic checks and maintenance procedures, and how to get it started again in the event of a breakdown.

Finally, Craig is working towards completing his yachtmaster qualification but....all in good time.
