Traveller's Tips

CORKSCREWS AND CANAPES!

Always pack a corkscrew.  You never know when you might have a fabulous opportunity to enjoy a bottle of local wine while sitting in an unexpected location!

When travelling in Europe, particularly in many of the old cities and villages, you will often find lots of steps and swathes of cobblestones and hotels where vehicle access to the front door is practically zero. Love them all....except when transporting luggage.  So be warned....pack a small bag that is either easily carried or has wheels.

THINK LUGGAGE

The last 18 months have taught us all valuable lessons.  For us, it has been to be prepared for anything and be prepared to be flexible and adjust as needed.  Instead of retiring to follow a lifelong dream of sailing, we found ourselves living randomly with family and wondering whether we would ever get back to our boat in the Med.  Without the benefit of a Government plan, we went ahead and made plans for ourselves and made the most of our time.  Life is too short to be angry, sad and untethered!
